Coaching Vs Therapy
The main goal of life coaching is to empower you to achieve goals and focus on improving the present. In therapy, you may dive deep into the past to understand your past, current, and future. In coaching your past may be briefly reviewed but one of the main differences between coaching and therapy is the focus on improvement or skill building rather than understanding how the past has shaped how you think, it is part of the puzzle because your past is part of you, nevertheless the goals in a coaching session are solution focused to facilitate progress. Therapy may aim to process and uncover the past, such as childhood trauma. This type of exploration of the past is better done with a licensed mental health provider.

Working as a team to set goals and create action plans on how to achieve set goals. There is no one-size-fits-all support. I utilize my training in motivational interviewing, active listening, non-judgmental growth mindset, and understanding personal values to gain insight into personal development as well as building skills for organization and prioritization.
